Shafiq Halim, the Owner & CEO of Wm. Fox & Co. perfectly embodies the American Dream. In 1995, after fleeing Taliban-controlled Afghanistan for Europe in a shipping container, he arrived in the U.S. armed with an elite tailoring skill he learned in Kabul and Europe. His path to success was defined by hard work.
He served as the Head of Tailoring for Neiman Marcus (Mid-Atlantic) before becoming the Regional Tailoring Manager for Bloomingdale’s in Washington, D.C.For 14 years, Shafiq worked dual roles, managing tailoring operations by day and moonlighting at Wm. Fox by night, saving every penny for a better future.
In 2020, Shafiq’s hard work culminated in the purchase of Wm. Fox & Co., which he has since expanded to three locations. Renowned for his mastery of the craft and a genuinely warm and inviting demeanor, Shafiq has earned the unwavering trust and respect of Washington’s most discerning clientele.
